'Teen Wolf's' Keahu Kahuanui Says Gay People Come "In All Shapes And Sizes"

Teen Wolf's gay character of Danny is not stereotypical because gay people come in “all shapes and sizes,” says Keahu Kahuanui, the actor who plays the high school student.

The teen series, which is based on the 1985 film of the same name starring Michael J. Fox, stars 19-year-old Tyler Posey (Smallville, Brothers & Sisters) as Scott McCall, the newly turned werewolf.

Newcomer Kahuanui plays the character of Danny, an out student who plays on the school's lacrosse team and has a boyfriend. He first appeared in the second episode of the series and in several scenes throughout the first season, which ended two weeks ago.

In an interview with gay male entertainment website AfterElton.com, Kahuanui described his character as a jock, and added that television is rightly moving away from showing stereotypical gay characters.
